Thomas Bischof, born in Vienna, works as a director, screenwriter and dramaturge at the intersection of film, theatre and performative research.
In his own directing work as well as in the development of short and feature-length films, he is interested in fragmentary narrative forms, perception, and the poetic interspaces between image, body and language.
His projects unfold within subtly surreal visual worlds where reality becomes porous and emotional states take on spatial presence. He approaches the absurd not as an effect, but as a precise moment of disruption - a rupture within systems that promise stability.
