Patricia Sotaso is a filmmaker based in Metro Manila. She studied at Mapúa
University in which she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Cinema. Her
work delves on the portrayal of women in cinema which is fueled by
experimentation, self discovery, and navigation of life's complexities.
In 2017, her experimental film "Ang Pagkalaglag Ng Ginintuang Salamin Ng Pagkakilanlan" won Best Experimental Film at University of the Philippines' Piling Obrang Vidyo (2017). It also bagged Third Prize Best Experimental Film at the 29th CCP Independent Film and Video. It was officially selected at Sydney World Film Festival (2017 Fall Edition) including her documentary entitled "TGAS". In 2019, she won Best Cinematography for the film "Ophelia" at University of Perpetual Help's Cinema Primera (2018) and University of the Philippines' Piling Obrang Vidyo (2018).
Patricia is working as a camera operator for various films and series.
