Ameya Saraf is an EMMY® award winning Los Angeles-based composer originally from Mumbai, India, whose emotionally resonant scores span film, television, and advertising. Known for his signature blend of organic and electro-acoustic textures, Saraf crafts music that is as narratively compelling as it is sonically rich, whether underscoring an intimate documentary or a high-energy action thriller.

A guitarist turned film composer, Saraf began his artistic journey as a founding member of the Mumbai progressive rock band Abscinthe before transitioning to scoring. After moving to the U.S. in 2018 to study film composition at UCLA, he quickly established himself in the Los Angeles music scene through his work on independent films, network series, and commercial campaigns.

His diverse body of work includes the award-winning PBS SoCal documentary Artbound: The Cheech, for which he received the 2025 Los Angeles Area Emmy Award for Music Composition. Other notable credits include the feature film Not Another Church Movie (starring Jamie Foxx and Mickey Rourke), the documentary Bend or Break, and scores for major brands like Rolex, whose campaigns aired during global events like Wimbledon and the US Open.

Saraf's music has also appeared in programs such as Dateline NBC, Cold Case Files, and Where Is Wendy Williams?, and he's contributed orchestration to major studio productions including Netflix/Bad Robot's LOU. A composer drawn to tight deadlines and high stakes, he thrives in projects that demand precision, creativity, and emotional nuance.
