Biography

He was born In 1964 Istanbul. He was graduated from Marmara UnIversIty FIne Art- CInema Tv department. He worked at TRT Istanbul Television. He began his career in commercials as an intern assistant in 1985. Can Ulkay has been directing commercials since 1994. During this time, he has directed approximately 1000 commercials. He is known for the film Ayla, which was selected as Türkiye's entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 90th Academy Awards.
