- Joe Connor is a British film director. His work has been nominated for Cannes Lions, D&AD, British Arrows, Shots, Creative Circles, 1.4 awards and seven times at the UK Music Video Awards for projects with Coldplay, Harry Styles and Sam Smith, Land Rover, Volvo and Louis Vuitton. His work for The Rolling Stones was selected for the British Film Institute archive in recognition of its cultural significance.
Alongside his commercial work, Joe has directed three feature-length documentaries, including A Message to You, a portrait of Terry Hall and The Specials, and Wild Wood, a film exploring the life and music of Paul Weller. Both received Gold awards at the 46th Telly Awards. Joe also served as second unit director on The Night Manager S2 Ep2.
Originally trained in theatre direction at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Joe brings a background in performance, storytelling and visual experimentation to his filmmaking, creating films that stay with you.
