Biography

Born in Brisbane, QLD, Australia, Colette Smartt began her career officially at the age of 11 when she joined The Fame Agency. Colette has a long history of Film, Television, Theater, Modelling,Live performance, Singing, Dancing, Writing and more recently Directing and Producing. Colette has been in musical theater productions that toured Australia and live performances in Westfield Shopping Malls as well as Network Television. Colette did runway and fashion modeling with June Dally Watkins Modelling Academy. At age 15, Colette wrote her first novel, Sorrelia, Tale of a Princess Warrior. At age 17, Colette joined a band called "Hokio" in New Zealand. After two years at We Came To Play Music Studios, Colette moved to the United States.

Since then, Colette has done everything from industrial to commercial shoots, independent film and short film festival projects. Colette continues to study acting and film making. Colette recently in 2017, was awarded a scholarship to attend a summer intensive for The Film School in Seattle, WA, where she will study screenwriting and story development, and production with Tom Skerrit and Disney Pixar story developers to name a few. Colette wrote and directed several short films in the Blue Forge Flashpoint Film Festivals. Titles include "Trapped" and "Immortal Thoughts."

In 2017, Colette became Co founder, Executive Producer, Writer, Director for Soul Element Films, a creative film collaborative in the Pacific North West. Colette completed writing her first web series "Shadow Walkers" which is in pre-production. As an Independent Film Company, Soul Element Films works in collaboration with multiple North West production companies.
