Mini bio

  • Dani Martineck is a New York-based actor and writer with a passion for stories that help us feel less alone. A published playwright and Audie- and Earphones Award-winning audiobook narrator, they just wrapped their newest short film, Handle With Care (co-starring Vico Ortiz), as part of a short-to-feature pipeline deal with Sundance-lauded producing team The Dazey Phase.

Dani’s sensory short film about grief and healing, The Rushing of the Sea, garnered nominations for best screenplay and wins in multiple categories during its festival run. He’s also guest written popular episodes of Girl Tales, a feminist fairytale podcast for young listeners.

As an actor, Dani had a snarky recur on Blue Bloods, cursed at Kendall Roy on Succession, and has done classical and contemporary theater in Tennessee and NYC. They’re otherwise best known for queer and genre roles and for emotionally layered audiobook narration for Big Five publishers and bestselling authors.
