Biography

Eric Swalwell was born on November 16, 1980 in Sac City, Iowa, USA. He is a producer, known for Words of War (2025), Amplified: The Exportation of the Culture Wars (2026) and IHIP News (2024). He has been married to Brittany Ann Watts since October 14, 2016. They have three children.

U.S. Representative from California (3 January 2013-present), representing the southeast San Francisco Bay area in parts of Alameda and Contra Costa counties, including Hayward and Livermore.

Member, House Intelligence Committee (2015-2023) and House Judiciary Committee (2017-).

Son of Vicky Joe (Erickson) and Eric Nelson Swalwell, a police chief in Algona, Iowa. His father is of half English/Scottish and half Portuguese descent, and his mother is of half Swedish and half Danish ancestry.
