Biography

Simona is a cinematographer whose debut feature She - Hero (dir. Mira Fornay) won the Grand Prix at Berlinale 2023. Her second feature, Caravan (dir. Zuzana Kirchner), premiered in Un Certain Regard at Cannes 2025. A Berlinale Talents alumnus and member of the Association of Slovak Cinematographers, she brings over a decade of on-set experience across feature films, TV, and commercials. She has worked as a first camera assistant and camera operator on Slovak, Czech, and international productions. Simona focuses on bold, character-driven stories across genres and borders.
