Samar Salam is an Indian film director and cinematographer. In 2017, he made his directorial debut with the film, The Ides of Childhood. The film World Premiered in the USA and won an award for Best Feature at the Ridgefield Independent Film Festival. Born in Calcutta on December 24, 1991, he had his early education at St. Xavier's Collegiate School, Calcutta, followed by majoring in Mass Communication and Videography at St. Xavier's College.
