Shauna Dawn Stewart was born on December 3, 1984 in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada to Linda (Boyce), a medical secretary, and Paul Stewart, a pastor. She has one older brother, Matthew. She also has 1 daughter, Leah Grace. She is of Scottish ancestry.
Shauna grew up wanting to be an actress but was unsure how to go about doing so in a small town. When she was 21 years old she auditioned for two projects with a local director and was unsuccessful in getting a part. She spent the next several years raising her daughter and working as a paralegal. She did some paid modeling with local photographers and was always on the lookout for film opportunities.
When Shauna was 30 she was contacted by the same director she had auditioned for 9 years earlier. She was personally invited to audition for the role of Zoe in Anonymous Zombie. This time she was successful. From there, she was personally invited by another director in her hometown to audition for the lead role of Maria in Tainted Rose. She submitted a video monologue and was given the role the next day based solely on this audition. From there she was given a supporting role in The Whispering Candle, another short film from the director of Tainted Rose.
Shauna is actively looking for new and exciting roles to take on. She is also training in mixed martial arts and intends to fight in her first MMA fight in 2017.
