Biography

Known for winning the Best Cinematography award at the Horror Screamfest in Los Angeles for the film "You Die - Get the app then die", Davide Piazzolla is a Director of Photography from Turin - Italy (1987). After graduating in engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin, his passion led him to move away from his previous studies to devote himself completely to cinematography, gaining experience as a filmmaker and becoming director of photography in 2016. In 2020, he joined the prestigious association of Autori Italiani della Cinematografia (AIC) as an Ordinary Member. He prefers cinematographic works and his portfolio includes 6 feature films and 15 short films, although numerous commercials and music videos are also among his works. Despite the fact that one of the main light processing techniques that characterize his style is the chiaroscuro, his versatility and ability to adapt to different genres allow him to model the light based on the film narrative and the director's vision.
