Biography

Originally from Sheffield, John played football at Academy level until he was 16. As a teenager he appeared in Shameless for Channel 4, Spooks Liberty for BBC and The Street for ITV.

He studied Law at the University of York and in his third year was cast in the rep season at York Theatre Royal. After graduating from York Law School, he trained as an actor at Arts Educational Schools, London (ArtsEd), on full scholarship.

Since graduating in 2013 his work on stage includes West End, National and International Tours. His TV work includes The Rook for Starz/Lionsgate, playing opposite Gina McKee, Flack for Amazon Prime with Anna Paquin, The English Game by Julian Fellowes for Netflix, and Doctors for the BBC.

He has voiced many characters for the Dark Shadows series, as well as two Audible original dramas.
