Biography

Ma Troggian is a Brazilian multi-artist based in NYC whose artistic identity revolves around acting, filmmaking, and music-making.

Ma was considered for Best Actress at Brazil's biggest film festival, Gramado Film Festival, for her role in Gustavo Spolidoro's "O Jardim Dos Amores de Woody Allen." She co-founded "Evoé," an award-winning collective dedicated to promoting Brazilian culture in theater and film.

As a self-taught screenwriter, she had her first feature script, "Foreign," shortlisted for the competitive 2022 Sundance Development Track. Her short script, "The Love of Jupiter," won the 2022 PANO Microgrants and was selected for the 2022 Open Screenplay M Film Lab. In 2024, Ma wrote, co-directed, and acted in the vampire short "The Death Dance."

As a musician, she has worked as a DJ and released four singles, including "Black Money" and "I Want Ur Luv," produced by Oscar-nominated and Grammy award-winning producer Bob Brockmann.

Finally, Ma received the 2021 City Artist Corps Grant to curate "Make Music Don't Get Killed," a yearly showcase highlighting queer underrepresented performers and musicians in Brooklyn.
