Abe Lastfogel was born on 17 May 1898 in New York, New York, USA. He was married to Frances Armhaus and Gussie Snow. He died on 25 August 1984 in Hollywood, California, USA.

Was hired by the William Morris Agency, a talent agency for show-business people, in 1912 as an office boy. He worked his way up to eventually become President and Chairman of the Board.
