Best known for his work in post production, Mickey is a hybrid filmmaker with substantial experience on both sides of the film and television spectrum. He has worked in roles coherently as an artist and in production for over a decade, resulting in a filmmaker who is highly versatile.
From as young as 5 years old he found interest in the wonders of post production and would binge the special features discs more often than the films they came with. Mickey attended the Australian Film Television and Radio School where he earned a Bachelor of Screen Production, finding a talent for storytelling through Writing, Directing and Editing. He landed a Post Production role at Shapeshifter Studio in Sydney, where he began mastering the art of color grading on various ABC programs and Channel 7's 'Home and Away'. He then took on the world of VFX, learning the arts of Animation and Compositing to later attain these VFX roles on BBC's 'Doctor Who'. Finding his way back to storytelling, he then worked as a Writer and Editor for an AVOD piece on 'Cartoon Network', before his final role at the studio where he ran point as Lead Editor on the series 'More Than This', a TV drama released on Paramount+.
Following his work as an artist, Mickey entered the world of production where he was a Production Coordinator at Industrial Light & Magic. His production titles include 'Aquaman: The Lost Kingdom', 'Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny', 'Star Wars: Ahsoka', 'Alien: Romulus', and 'Sonic 3'. His production experience spanned across a variety of departments while he worked on these projects. After gaining this production experience, he has since shifted back to a creative role as a VFX Editor at Industrial Light & Magic.
Mickey continues to work and thrive in the industry out of Sydney where he continues writing, editing and producing to the best of his abilities.
