Biography

Nuno Sá is a BAFTA awarded underwater cinematographer, specialized in marine wildlife based in the Azores - Portugal. He is a regular contributor for Netflix, BBC, Disney and National Geographic. He is specialized in wildlife sequences for Blue chip landmark series. He was part of the main cinematographers team in BBC's iconic series Blue Planet 2- Episode 1 and 3, for which he was awarded a Bafta and a Panda award. Based in the Oceanic archipelago of the Azores he soon became specialized in working on stories "in the blue" with encounters with mega fauna such as sharks, whales, mantas, bait-balls etc... today he works with pelagic stories but also on different subjects such as spending several hours on CCR shooting macro stories with tripods, sliders, scaffolds in lakes of Africa or filming under ice in Antartica.
