V. Afonin

Graduated from the Gnessin State Music College and the M.S. Shchepkin Higher Theatre School in 1974 (workshop of the USSR People's Artist M.I. Tsarev). He has been teaching the "Actor's Crafts" course at the M.S. Shchepkin Higher Theatre School since 1996. He also worked at the Alma-Ata Drama Theater and the Blagoveshchensk Drama Theater and he worked in Moscow at the Mossovet Theater and the Moscow Regional Youth Theater.
Valentin Afonin is a Member of the Moscow Writers' Union. He writes plays and prose. In 2006 and 2008, his collections of works were published: "Rehearsing Shakespeare" and "Once Upon a Time I...", and in 2011 and 2016 - book for children "The Little Myrrenok and the Miracle in Feathers".
