Biography

Nika Balina is an actress based in Los Angeles. She studied at the University of Theater Arts for four years and performed in theater productions. Before moving to Los Angeles, she acted in 31 television series and feature films for major television networks, working across the comedy, drama, and crime genres. Since relocating to Los Angeles, Nika has acted in 36 films and television shows, including comedies, dramas, thrillers, horror films, and crime stories. In the upcoming thriller The Night Driver, she acted opposite Josh Lucas. She also shared the screen with Kristen Wiig and Allison Janney in Palm Royale and appeared in The Rideshare Killer, starring Eric Roberts.

Recently, she wrote, produced, directed, and starred in the psychological thriller The Sixth Floor, which premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre during the Golden State Film Festival in 2025. The film also won an award at the International New York Film Festival and received nominations from the Toronto International Women Film Festival and the Chicago Indie Film Awards. The Sixth Floor is scheduled for release later in 2026.

Nika starred in the independent film The Lost Films of Ko Chiaki, which screened at three major comedy film festivals. She also wrote, produced, and starred in the sitcom pilot Non American Dreamers, which won six awards at American film festivals. Nika also played the lead role in Daemon, which received sixteen awards and seven additional nominations at American film festivals. Earlier in her career, she created and hosted two seasons of the comedy cooking television show Restaurant's Spice.

Outside of acting and filmmaking, Nika enjoys snowboarding, surfing, windsurfing, cycling, rollerblading, ice skating, basketball, tennis, and a variety of other sports.

She speaks and performs in four languages.
