Charlene Downes

Charlene Downes is an English woman who went missing from her home in Blackpool on 1 November 2003. She was brought up in Coventry, with her parents Robert Sr. and Karen Downes, the second of four children and had two sisters, Emma and Rebecca, and a brother, Robert Jr. In 1999, when Charlene was 10 years old, the family moved north to Blackpool, where she enrolled at St. George's School, but by 2002 she was expelled from St. George's for truancy. As a teenager during her prepubertal years, Charlene lived a dissolute, chaotic and uncontrolled life in the underbelly of the seaside resort. According to Downes's friend, Tyne Yates, she and Charlene left the Carousel Bar and returned to the town centre at around 10 pm. Tyne last saw Charlene at around 11 pm near Talbot Road/Abingdon Street.
