Mahmood Kameli

Mahmoud Kameli is an Iranian cinematographer, director, and producer. Active in cinema since 1998, he has worked as a cinematographer on more than 200 short films, feature films, TV series, and documentaries. Kameli is a member of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) and holds the Artist FIAP distinction. He is also a member of several photography associations in Iran and Turkey. He has conducted filmmaking and photography workshops in Iran and Cyprus and has collaborated with more than 15 international television networks. Kameli has received 13 awards and numerous nominations at various film festivals, including Best Documentary Film nomination for "Gagrio" at the DuPauw Film Festival in Portugal (2025), Best Documentary nomination at the Mpumalanga International Film Festival in South Africa (2025), and Best Cinematography nomination at the Virginia Independent Film & Music Festival in the USA (2025). He also received an Honorable Mention at the Issyk-Kul Photo Festival in Kyrgyzstan in 2021.
