Biography

Yigael Yadin was born on March 20, 1917 in Jerusalem, Israel. He died on June 24, 1984 in Jerusalem, Israel.

Yigael Yadin was the second Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces.

Archeologist, university professor and author, he is the father of Orly Yadin, the brother of actor Yossi Yadin and they are the sons of famed archaeologist Eliezer Sukenik who identified the antiquity of the Dead Sea Scrolls.
