Alireza Ghasemi is an Iranian filmmaker based in Paris. He studied cinema at the Art University of Tehran and continued his training at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Germany. His short film Lunch Time was selected for the Short Film Competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017. His debut feature, In the Land of Brothers, co-directed with Raha Amirfazli, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2024, where it received the Best Directing Award. He is an alumnus of the Cannes Cinéfondation Residency and Berlinale Talents.
