Mariangelie Vélez Ramírez, born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 21, 1991, is a Puerto Rican actress based in Connecticut. She is known for portraying Sonia in the feature film Vico C: La Vida del Filósofo. She was part of the Teatro Rodante Universitario at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, under the mentorship of Dr. Dean Zayas.
She entered the film industry with the role of "Chaguita," directed and produced by Gilo Rivera and Angela Meyer in Rosaura Andreu’s film. She portrayed Leyda in the Mexico-based co-production series Súbete a mi Moto (Endemol Shine Boomdog and Piñolywood), Xiomara in the film El Quinceañero de mi Abuela directed by Transfor Ortiz, and Lolita in La Última Gira.
In theater, she originated the role of "Gorguie" in the Puerto Rican play El Olor del Popcorn by José Luis Ramos Escobar in 2023. On television, she appeared in the program El Remix on WAPA-TV. She holds an MFA in Acting, University of Connecticut, and continues to work and study daily, driven by her passion and dedication to the arts.
