Biography

Boris (Liboris) Claassen was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, to Mieke Dillo (Portrait artist) and Willem Claassen (Visual artist). He grew up in an artistic family and learned to make illustrations early in his youth. After high school he was trained as a graphic designer at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. He then worked at various Advertising / Internet / e-Learning and Games companies as a graphic artist. In addition to his job, he did a Film Making Program at SAE International Technology College. After obtaining his Film Making Diploma in 2007, he started to focus on making animations, commercials, documentaries and short films. Since 2010 he has been working as editor, sound designer, producer and visual effects maker on various productions. He lives and works in the center of Rotterdam, The Netherlands and is engaged to Katelijne de Wolf (Project manager modifications / Schiphol Plus) and father of his daughter Mara Sanna Claassen (Born: December 18th, 2012). Productions he worked recently: Delay, Deny, Hope You Die (2017) A documentary about the Iraq and Afghanistan U.S. military burn pit operation scandal, Weerzienwekkend (2017) (Short Fictional Film), Schoon Genoeg: Well Done (2016) (Short Fictional Film) and Laat maar lopen (2017) (Short Fictional Film).
