Kayla Kohla is an actress and former model born in Providence, Rhode Island. A dual-national of both Portugal and the United States, Kohla began her career solely as a model, specializing in fashion runway, fashion print, hair modeling, and promo modeling; and frequently modeled for various clothing designers, magazines and product brands in addition to independent photographers. By 2018, Kohla tailored her work exclusively to high fashion, fashion runway, and commercial print modeling, garnering multiple international publications and designer credits. In 2019, Kohla advised that she would no longer be modeling and would instead be focusing exclusively on film. Since then, Kayla Kohla has continued to appear in films in both the independent and mainstream sectors.

She is said to have wanted to be a model ever since her mother took her to a photography studio as a toddler and she saw photos of children on the wall and computer mouse-pad.

Her very first acting job was in a commercial for the URI Foundation in 2013.

Her interest in acting began at the age of 11, when she attended a juvenile acting school twice a week.

Although Kayla Kohla has dual-nationality in Portugal and the US, she has revealed that she is of Portuguese, Italian and Hispanic decent.

Kayla Kohla was invited to walk in the 2018 Boston Pride Parade.
