Cole Lardino/AKA Big 'Dino' Lardino/AKA J. Lardino/AKA In Dark Solitude is a composer; musician; lyricist; singer/songwriter; Voice over actor; fiction/non fiction writer; Jingle composer; Foley artist/creator; Audio Engineer; Tattoo artist...and foodie!

Cole is the creator of the one man band 'IN DARK SOLITUDE'. In Dark Solitude (or I.D.S. as know by his fans) is the definitive music heard in haunted attractions around the world, including Halloween horror nights at Universal Studios as well as Knotts Berry Haunted attractions.

Under the name IN DARK SOLITUDE he has created Halloween instrumental albums; Vocal (Alternative) albums; a Christmas album; and even a Classical album.

Under his many pseudonyms, he has done different projects for The History channel; The Travel Channel; The NBC TODAY show; as well as sound design/bedding music, and voice overs for video games; cartoons; podcasts; apps; corporate training videos....the list goes on.

Cole is a true chameleon in the voice over world. He has an unusual range in his voice and can perform any accent/dialect. He specializes in character voice over work where he can perform multiple characters in a manner that the listener would not suspect it to be the same man performing.

Cole began writing poetry and was a self taught musician at the age of 14. He formed a band that he quickly left at the age of 16 that went on to have a Billboard #1 hit single.

After leaving the band; he vowed to become and stay a solo artist...hence the name IN DARK SOLITUDE was born. He composes/writes/records/performs/engineers all of his music. He plays every instrument on his albums and layers his vocals to sound like a full band. He produces and develops new talent in the voice over world and engineers/mix/masters albums for other bands and artists.

Cole was born Joel Lardino in Chicago Il. where he resided until 2005 where he moved to Las Vegas, and even did some Elvis impersonation work. He now resides in Texas with his wife and dogs. He enjoys lifting weights, cooking, walking, and of course spending time in his studio creating several different kinds of audio for every genre possible.
