Beccy Barr was born on September 23, 1977 in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, UK. She was married to Alex Meehan. She died on July 22, 2024 in Lancaster, Lancashire, England, UK.

In 2019 she joined the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.

Worked for BBC North West Tonight from 2013 until 2019.

Father was a firefighter.

She was 6' 2" and was nicknamed "Big Bird", and her husband was 6' 7".
