Summer Xinlei Yang has won numerous awards and premiered at top-tier film festivals including Sundance, Berlin Film Festival, Shanghai International Film Festival, San Sebastian Film Festival, Tribecca, SXSW, and Cannes, in a total of 30+ Oscar-qualifying film festivals, and 200+ other film festivals. Summer has won multiple American Advertising Awards, Telly Awards, and Golden Lion Awards for branded content with companies such as Intel, Tencent, Mercedes, and more.

Summer has completed her Bachelor's degree at UCLA and her M.F.A. in producing at the American Film Institute. After graduating, she worked on projects for Disney+, Amazon Studios, and Blumhouse Productions. Summer has produced dozens of narrative shorts and branded videos, as well as multiple narrative features and documentaries with Academy-award-winning filmmakers including Steven Rales, Abigail Disney, Mark Johnson, and companies such as Indian Paintbrush.

Summer Xinlei Yang is an award-winning filmmaker and licensed pilot, working as a producer and documentary director across the United States and China. She is a member of the Producers Guild of America (PGA). Her branded content has received honors including American Advertising Awards, Telly Awards, and a Cannes Lions Golden Lion, for campaigns with global brands such as Intel, Tencent, and Mercedes-Benz. She is the founder of Summery Productions, producing narrative films, documentaries, and branded content across North America, South America, Asia, and Europe, and a co-founder of a mobile-format-first content studios. Summer holds a B.A. from UCLA and an M.F.A. in Producing from the American Film Institute Conservatory. She has worked for series and films for Disney+, Amazon Studios, Netflix, and Blumhouse Productions. Her work is known for character-driven storytelling that bridges cultures, borders, and formats.
