Biography

Kristopher Charles Koehler was born March 7, 1981 in Collingwood, Ontario, Canada. He was born to a French-Irish mother and a Father of German lineage. Kris's family moved to Brampton, Ontario in 1986 where he attended schools and focused more on science rather than drama, graduated high-school in 1999. Accepting an offer for classes in Chemical Engineering and Technology, Kris attended Sheridan College in Brampton, where he also took a course in Japanese Language and Culture. Due to some financial difficulties Kris had to focus more on recovering his situation and opted not to continue his post-secondary studies. In 2010 Kris saw a commercial on The Discovery Channel looking for parties interested in being on a new game show, Qubit. Kris attained a first runner-up ranking on the show, where if one of the main scheduled contestants were to drop out, Kris would be on the show. Unfortunately, the show only aired two episodes. Two years later, a producer from the show had Kris's email from his work on Qubit and asked if he was available to be on "Matchmaker" scheduled to air later on Slice (formerly Life Network). Kris attended the audition but his lack of experience in front of the camera made him anxious and afterwards dismissed the notion of working in film or TV. In May of 2016 an actor named Jonathan Bruneau needed a ride to a production of Eidolon: The End is Near and was also a friend of Kris. Kris accepted Jon's request and knowing he would be going to a production, humbly asked if they needed any extras. They did, and upon signing with an agent and filling out some forms, Kris became an extra acting without lines in front of the Camera. Fast forward to February 2017 and Kris has been a part of many productions including but not limited to: Crimson Sands, His Quiet Mind, If Only, Eleftheromania, Paranormal Survivor, Outlaws of the Marsh, Canada: The Story of Us, The Shape of Water, Hailey Reese's music video "Overdose", American Gods, The Handmaid's Tale, The Goodwitch, 12 Monkeys, Designated Survivor, World Without Canada, and Molly's Game.
