Biography

Dean Reid is an Australian actor known for Blood Bond and Burden. He has appeared in short films, feature film and TV projects as well as commercials for national and international brands.

Previous to starting his acting career, he began as a model and is also an entrepreneur. Dean studied Business and Marketing at Griffith University in Australia and graduated with honors in 2000. His first job as a marketing professional was with the Mars corporation. It was here that he developed his love for film, being involved in the creation of commercials and other media. He also was involved with entertainment from an early age assisting his mother with her singing career as a behind the scenes support person.

He is an accomplished portrait artist and author.

Dean is the oldest of 6 children. He has 4 younger brothers all of whom he is close to. His younger sister passed away in 1993.

In his spare time, Dean does portrait pencil drawings. This is a talent he discovered when in his late teens. He has worked with international artist Dirk Dzimirsky in Germany, spending a week in Germany at a drawing workshop to further develop his skills.
