- Alexandr Omelyanov graduated from Kyiv National Economic University. In 2010, started his career in the TV industry as a line producer of entertainment TV shows at 1+1 Media one of the biggest media broadcasters in Ukraine and the CIS. 2014-2018 worked as a producer at Sister's Production, a production company that produces TV series for the TV channels of the media group 1+1 Media. In 2019, Aleksandr Omelyanov founded the production company JOYFILMS.
During this short period, JOYFILMS became a reliable partner of the main film funds of Ukraine - the Ukrainian State Film Agency and UCF, which supported several projects of the company. JOYFILMS focuses on producing domestic and international projects, mainly feature films directed by talented young directors with a strong voice. The company's films were often selected for international pitching and work-in-progress platforms.
