Biography

Andrés Klimek was born on the 23th of October, 1975, in Mexico City. Since he was five years old he started to explore the world through a camera lens and through acting performances, as well. When he finished his bachelor degree in Mexico City he moved to France where he stayed for one year. Afterwards, he went to Barcelona, Spain, to gain more experience which would later show in his video-art pieces. Andrés Klimek is a founding member of the Media Company Mónera. He established it along with his cousin, Edgar Pavía. Mónera has produced several advertising campaigns for television, as well as documentaries, videos for multimedia and they are preparing a pilot series for television and Internet. At the present moment, Andrés is creating Infinity Jam Sessions, which is a group of different partners. In its origins, Infinity Jam Sessions was born from the interaction of two companies, Mónera and Caballería, where Eduardo Dubost, Sergio Donis, Edgardo Lara, Juan Carlos Tellez, Olivier Gandet and many other artists joined in through the common need to make art in its simplest and freest way. For Infinity Jam Sessions art is like nourishment or like a vital liquid, it will always be there to be shared, not to be a source of competition. As to the present-day projects, there is an experimental medium-length film called "Origen", plus two feature films titled "Adan soy Tu Ave" and "Getaway" which are at work now in Infinity Jam Sessions and Mónera, and hopefully, they will be shared with the world very soon.
