Jason Foster
Jason Foster was born in Maryland, just outside Washington, DC. His first tornado experience was in October 1990 when a F2 tornado hit his community and childhood home in Kensington, MD. His first tornado chase season was in 1997. Jason’s first hurricane intercept was Hurricane Isabel in 2003. He has flown with and filmed with the USAF Hurricane Hunters during Hurricane Bill in 2009. In 2004, Jason, along with companion storm chasers self-produced two documentaries about the 2004 hurricanes; first one being Hurricane Charley documentary. The second documentary, "September’s Fury" is about Hurricane Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne. The Hurricane Charley documentary was entered into a film festival in early 2005 and won the audience award for best documentary.

"Stormbound" (2026) documentary is about his long time friend Jeff Gammons and his wife, in part, dealing with a 2nd kidney transplant for which Jason and Jeff are both kidney transplant recipients (Jason’s in 2007 and Jeff’s first in 2009 and second in 2024).

Jason’s first career was in architecture from 1996 until the recession in 2009 (and brief revisit in 2016).

Jason is based in Tampa, Florida, USA.
