Biography

  • Barshea Lowery is a writer and author, born and raised in Gary, Indiana. Entertaining and creativity came naturally to him, having both parents equally skilled in the arts. Barshea introduced himself to writing in 1999, creating his first piece about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., which later was adapted into a stage play for black history month at his elementary school. During his high school years, he went on to create over 40 short stories to entertain his classmates. In 2010, while in college, Barshea published a family drama titled, "Nothing like family", a fiction novel. Navigating to screenplays, he wrote and developed multiple full features and sitcoms; including social media skits for popular influences. Barshea prides himself on creating raw and authentic stories about the everyday person. His words are unorthodox and unapologetic, orchestrating great storytelling filled with love and losses, bad decisions, happy mediums, risks, and predestined drama nourished with a strong comic relief. As an overall entertainer, Barshea remains humble and encourages innovation among fellow writers and artists.
