Kim Rowoon was born in Seoul, Korea on August 7, 1996. He began his career as a member of the K Pop band SF9 as a lead vocalist, under FNC Entertainment. At 6'3" he has stood out among his peers as an artist, model, brand spokesperson, and actor. He studied at the Kyung Hee Cyber University. He was once ranked third at the National Soccer Competition at Chuncheon. With his members of SF9, Rowoon has had success with many popular K-pop songs and successful albums. His acting career began in 2018 in the TV series Where Stars Land and he was nominated as Best New Actor at the SBS awards. His big break came in 2019 when he starred in the series Extraordinary You. He won 32nd Grimae Award in 2019 and the 2019 MBC drama award for Best New Actor. In 2020 he won the Male Actor Idol of year award and nominated for Entertainer of the Year -Male award, and 2021 he won three awards at the KBS drama awards: Best New Actor, Popularity award Male,, and Best Couple Award for The King's Affection drama series.

Rowoon's real name is Kim Seok-woo, a special name that was given by his grandfather. "Seok stands for mineral and Woo stands for helper. He wanted me to help others and contribute to the world," he once told in an interview.
He can play danso (Korean traditional bamboo flute) and writes poems.
When he watches some melodramatic movies, he tends to cry.
He played soccer competitively when he was younger. He finished third place at the National Soccer Competition in Chuncheon.
Was almost not being selected to get the main role in The King's Affection because of his super-tall heights.

I think my strength is the fact that I want to be a good person. There is no clear-cut standard about being a good person, and everyone has a different perspective on it. Wherever I am, I want to bring good vibes.
If there's something that I've learned while working in the entertainment industry, it's that nothing works out just because you're good looking. I want to make myself better on the inside rather than my outer appearance, and I hope I can show that through my music or acting.
The present is the only thing I can change because the moment becomes the past and the future is still unknown. I'm just trying to be satisfied with the present. I think that's the path to happiness.
