Playing the character "Benny Romero," a student in the title character's elementary school classroom, Vera appeared in fifteen episodes of the series in seasons 3 and 4, which aired from 1954 to 1956.

He also appeared in episodes of "The Colgate Comedy Hour," "Father Knows Best," "The Donald O'Connor Show," "The Steve Allen Show," "Playhouse 90," "Have Gun - Will Travel," "Bonanza," "Gunsmoke," "Death Valley Days" and many others.
