Biography

On 31 July 2022, she wrote English football history during the final match of the UEFA Women's Euro 2022. After she came off the substitute bench, at the 110th minute, she scored the goal against Germany that led to England winning the match. It not only marked the first major trophy for her team, but also the first time since 1966 that an English senior football team won a major championship.

Following her historic goal during the UEFA Women's Euro 2022 final match, she gained some extra media attention when she immediately took off her shirt in celebration, revealing her sports bra. She received a yellow card for it. While her celebration was heavily debated in the media, many have praised it as a symbol for female empowerment and unity.

She is the youngest of seven siblings.
