Award-winning British Film Producer, Director, Crew Member (locations, costume, production), Actress, Supporting Artist, Stand-in, Double and Stunt performer, Volenté Lloyd was born in South Africa.

She spent some time living in The Netherlands, the West coast and north-western interior of Canada and then settled in South Wales in the 1990's.

Volenté has won many awards and had honorable mentions globally for her documentary short "Maroon Fist" and has produced and directed several music videos.

She has spent many years as a singer-songwriter, producer and composer and has released several albums and singles to date. Available on all digital platforms.

She has created music for computer games and is always happy to collaborate or take on new projects.

Volenté is also a multimedia artist and continues to develop her Fine Art Practice and Business, bringing awareness to Endometriosis, which affects so many and can be so debilitating.

Volenté now works as a freelance Film Producer Director.

Volenté Lloyd is an acclaimed director, producer, and multi-disciplinary artist with nearly 30 years of industry experience across the screen. Beginning her career as an actress, stunt performer, and crew member, she has successfully transitioned into directing and producing, focusing on authentic, high-impact storytelling.

Lloyd’s directorial debut, the documentary short "Maroon Fist", has achieved significant international acclaim, securing 35 global awards and numerous nominations. Her accolades include winning Best Producer and Best Hair & Make-Up at the Absurd Film Festival, Best First-Time Director at the European Short Awards, and Best Documentary Short Film at the Los Angeles Film and Documentary Awards. The project has also received a Best Documentary Short win at the Golden Lion International Film Festival, an Honourable Mention for Best Director at the Athens International Monthly Arts Film Festival, and selections at the International Black & Diversity Film Festival, East Village New York Film Festival, and Dream Catchers Film Festival.

A dedicated advocate for fairness, dignity, and education in entertainment, Lloyd founded the Supporting Artist Academy in 2019 to provide supporting artists with essential professional knowledge and set etiquette. Her commitment to industry reform led to her work on Equity’s Screen and New Media Committee. In this role, she successfully negotiated the first-ever Equity/PACT Supporting Artist Agreement in the union's history, securing vital improvements in working conditions across the sector.

Lloyd is a recognized Master Artisan with the Guild of Master Craftsmen, honoring the high standard and skill of her creative works.

As a lifelong singer-songwriter and multimedia artist, she creates experimental soundscapes that blend operatic vocals with evocative electronic elements. Her musical style has been praised by Entertainment South Wales as a "rich, colourful soundscape" and described by Rogue Magazine as a "unique voice, both haunting and beguiling."

Parallel to her work in film and music, Lloyd is an accomplished visual artist and painter. Her solo exhibition, "An Invisible Disease," fused fine art and collaborative performance to explore the experience of living with endometriosis and raise crucial health awareness. Driven by excellence, integrity, and purpose, Lloyd continues to thrive on multidisciplinary collaboration to create impactful art.
