Biography

Received her PhD in Composition from Columbia University where she studied under Otto Luening, Jack Beeson and Vladimir Ussachevsky at the Columbia/Princeton Electronic Music Center.

Member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

Raised in Bolivia from the age of nine.

In 2002 she won the Annual Composer's Award from the Lancaster Symphony.

Is the Asher B. Edelman Professor of Music at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York.
