Edgard Cavalcanti, a versatile talent recognized for his work as an actor, comedian, and director, was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and was raised between the United Kingdom and the United States.

Beginning as an intern at Lionsgate TV under the mentorship of executive producer Dave Caplan, Edgard gained invaluable insights into TV production. It was during this time that he found inspiration from director Christopher Louie, whose encouragement propelled Edgard towards a deeper exploration of filmmaking. As an assistant to the director on Netflix's feature film "XOXO", Edgard not only honed his skills but also contributed creatively, infusing the film's visuals with his South American cinematic influences.

Fueled by his passion, Edgard pursued formal education at The Los Angeles Film School, where he immersed himself in various aspects of filmmaking, advocating for causes like mental health awareness. Following graduation, Edgard embarked on his professional journey as a production assistant on "Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom," subsequently transitioning to assistant directing roles for renowned entities such as Disney, Netflix, Amazon, Universal, and the BBC. Throughout his career, Edgard has remained dedicated to storytelling that inspires and uplifts audiences, consistently centered around themes of resilience and hope.
