Biography

Michalis Tiggiridis was born in Stuttgart, Germany, and grew up in Elefsina, Greece. He studied History, Film Practices, and the Fundamentals of Cinema at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and later attended specialized programs in cinematic storytelling and television series development in the United States under the mentor-ship of Bobby Roth.

Throughout his professional career, he has worked across film, theatre, advertising, and audiovisual content, creating short films, music videos, commercial productions, and theatrical works.

He has written and directed nine short films and six original stage plays. His films have been officially selected and awarded at international film festivals, receiving distinctions both in Greece and abroad.

He is currently developing the drama television series *Lafina*, for which he serves as both writer and director, while also working on the development of two feature-length films. He has been honored with two awards in international screenwriting competitions in Prague and the United States.

He is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Pharos Beyond Images Short Film Festival (PBISFF), an international short film festival held in Elefsina, Greece, and the Co-Founder of Triptolemos Pictures.

In parallel with his creative work, he conducts workshops in acting for camera and cinematic storytelling, while developing new film, television, and theatre productions. His work places particular emphasis on connecting contemporary dramatize with Greek mythology, history, and cultural memory.
