Dimbo Atiya is an award-winning Nigerian filmmaker-creator, writer, producer, director, and show-runner-with over a decade of experience in film and television. Originally trained in Urban and Regional Planning, he transitioned into filmmaking in 2008 and later studied professionally at the New York Film Academy in New York and California.
He has produced over 500 episodes of television and five feature films, creating employment for hundreds of actors and crew members. Dimbo is best known as the Co-Creator, Executive Producer, Writer, and Director of The Rishantes, which won the 2022 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award for Best Africa Magic Original Series and aired on Africa Magic and Showmax.
His notable credits include Sons of the Caliphate, Halita (Seasons 1 & 2), Still Falling, Drawing Strength, War: Wrath and Vengeance (Netflix), The Plan (Netflix), and Dala Dala. Dimbo is committed to telling authentic African stories and expanding opportunities for creatives across the continent.
