Andy Barnett was born in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. He is known primarily for his work as a voice actor and narrator. He has voiced sketches on Saturday Night Live and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, recorded animation roles including the voice of Rhinox on Transformers: War for Cybertron Kingdom, and has narrated television shows including: Discovery's Dino Hunters (2020-2021), Terrific Tiny Homes on HGTV (2019), Cover Story on GSN (2018) and Rich and Acquitted on Reelz (2016). His work in video games includes Fantasy Strike (2018), NELO (2018), Eternal (2016), and more. He's also known for his work on national television, social media and radio commercial campaigns, as well as audio books and other narration projects. Aside from voice over work, he has also has trained in improvisational comedy and stage acting and enjoys performing both when time allows. He lives with his wife and four sons spending time between Los Angeles and Kansas City.

Andy Barnett's notable awards include a One Voice Awards for Best Animation Character Performance (2025), Best Radio Commercial Performance (2025, 2023), Best Automotive Commercial Performance (2024) and Voice Arts Awards for Outstanding National Commercial for Web or TV (2017) and Outstanding Political Announcement (2018).
His first starring role on stage was in an adaptation of O. Henry's short story "The Ransom of Red Chief".
While he's not known for being a mimic, he says he knew from a young age he wanted to voice characters as he was mesmerized by Mel Blanc and would imitate his various Looney Tunes characters at home and at school. He also loved acting out TV commercials in front of his parents camcorder.
While he isn't acting Andy is a huge tabletop gaming fan and has close to 300 board games in his collection.
Barnett is a huge J.R.R. Tolkien fan. Two of his kids have middle names from the books: Strider and Theoden. As a child he remembers listening to the 13 Episode BBC Audio Drama and how it is part of what inspired him to become a voice actor.
