Biography

Mexican director, editor and post producer. His latest film, A Burning Turret (2025), is nominated for the Ariel Award for Best Fiction Short Film; it premiered internationally at the Huesca Film Festival, and had its Mexican premiere at the Guadalajara Film Festival (FICG). His previous film, Fifth of June (2021), screened at the Tribeca Film Festival and won a Special Mention award at the Morelia Film Festival (FICM). In 2023, he was selected to participate at Apichatpong Weerasethakul's Creator's Lab and filmed a short under his consultancy. He is developing his first feature film. Humberto was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
