Biography

David began his film career in 1999, on the Film-4 produced 'The Necro-file' as Audio Engineer, Fight Choreographer, and Actor.

David trained at the Yorkshire School of Acting and studied Performance for Stage and Screen at Sheffield Hallam University.

David is a British film Director, Producer, Actor, and Screenwriter as well as a Company Director and a fully qualified Martial Arts Instructor in the Wing Chun style of Kung-Fu, having trained with Bruce Lee's mentors in Hong Kong. He began at 11 years of age working as a model and has also worked as a special action performer and Stunt Performer. He just loves being on set in any capacity...

During David's career he has worked for Warner Brothers, Disney, Lucas Film, ITV and C4 along with countless Indie Productions, Advertisements and Music Videos for projects such as Trainspotting 2 and many more and is still happy to help micro-budget productions in his spare time.

David trains closely with specialist screen acting coach and casting agent Matt Zina, heavily influenced by the techniques of Meisner, Adler and Stanislavsky, to create honest and truthful reactions on screen.

David has steadily developed modern Directing and Acting methods and understands the theory behind Television and Film Performance, that today's audience has come to demand. He continues to learn and grow constantly honing his skills and is deeply dedicated to this life-long learning process, with a love and passion for the industry

David's focus in 2024 are his own filmmaking projects in experimental film, from short film to music videos, and feature length productions, he worked on the film Shelf Life alongside Gianluca Balla which received a nomination at the British Academy for Film and Television Awards , for accessibility in film.
