Katja Schmolka

Katja Schmolka a native of Vienna Austria, graduated from the prestigious Vienna Institute of Fashion and Design, at Palace Hetzendorf. After completing her studies in Vienna, Katja moved to the fashion capitals of the world, Milan and New York City, where she began her rapid and extraordinary career as fashion editor for several of the city's top Fashion Magazines. After years as a successful, respected and in demand fashion editor, along with her experience and expertise, Katja founded and launched her own Magazine, ZIP Magazine, an online publication for the Arts, featuring exclusive Interviews and the hottest Fashion news in NYC. As founder and editor of ZIP Magazine , Katja was invited into the exciting and private worlds of the Manhattan 'A' list, with exclusive access and face to face interviews with highly acclaimed and award winning talents working in Film, Fashion and the Art Scene.

Moving from behind the camera, to in front of the camera, while conducting her digital interviews, Katja found a new love for film and acting. Particularly intrigued by the psychological side of her interviewees partner's stories, she enrolled in acting classes at The Lee Strasberg Institute For Theatre & Film in NYC, and continued her studies at the Michelle Danner acting studio in Los Angeles. Katja lives and works in Malibu.
