Biography

Melissa Gutierrez Clavijo is an award-winning Film Producer with an expanding portfolio of 40+ productions with recognition and accolades in some of the most important entertainment hubs globally: LA, New York, Toronto, Bogota, and Berlin, to name a few. Born in Colombia, she currently resides in Los Angeles, where she leads as VP & Head of Production at a successful video marketing agency of 250+ employees. Gutierrez has produced commercials and digital ads for world-class brands such as Nike, Hyundai, LG, Unilever, Instacart, and DoorDash, to name a few, among other 100+ brands for which she and her team have produced well over 1,000+ ads with revenues well over the million dollars.

Her latest feature film "Captive" starring William Kircher ("The Hobbit"), penned the American distribution deal with the same distributors of "Capone" with T. Hardy, and "Hard Kill" with B. Williams. "Captive" (Rating: 100% Rotten Tomatoes) also obtained distribution in other 30 territories in 2022.

Highlights:

• Gutierrez has more than ten years of experience in all positions inside the production department, from Associate Producer, and Production Manager to VP of Production. Her work has granted her, the opportunity to join the panel of official judges for the renowned Colombian film festival "Villa del Cine Film Festival" among other contests where she has been invited to be part of the jury.
