Biography

Kenneth O. Butler II started his career as an aspiring director in Richmond Hill Community Theater (RHCT) in 2013. Kenneth first played a boom operator in a play called "Zombie Movie." In 2014 he worked as a stage hand in the RHCT musical called: "The Kids Left, the Dog Died, Now What," and in same year he worked as an Assistant Director to Ashlee Farris in another RHCT production, a dinner theater show called "Murder Medium Rare." In 2015 Kenneth directed his first play with RHCT, called "The Wizard of Oz", and in 2016 he directed his second play, "Robin Hood." In the summer of 2016, Kenneth moved to film, and he earned his first IMDB credit as a writer for a Savannah 48-Hour Film Project entry called "Assorted", which won Best Film. Shortly after, still in 2016, he went on to write and direct his first short film, called "The Golden Donut," and a month later made his second short film, called "Princess in Hiding." At the start of 2017 Kenneth wrote and directed a short film called "Michelle Rothrock", followed by another called "Shrimp and Grits." For 2017's Savannah 48-Hour Film Project, with a team from the Georgia Film Academy (Savannah Technical College), Kenneth directed what would be his fifth short film, "Quota." This was followed by his own sixth short film, "Crushess," which he wrote and directed. At the start of 2018 Kenneth directed "The Plumber," and he also wrote and directed "Perfect Match: A Silent Greasy Spoon Story." For 2018's Savannah's 48-Hour Film Project, Kenneth directed his ninth short film, "The Session." You can find most of these films on YouTube, on the Irish Pizza Productions channel, which Kenneth started in 2018 with his partner and co-producer, Thomas F. Harris. In the summer of 2018, the short film "Perfect Match: A Silent Greasy Spoon Story", was entered in several film festivals. There are plans for a 2019 play with the Richmond Hill Community Theater next spring, called: "Prescription: Murder," and, of course, a plan to make a tenth short film before the end of 2018.
