Reading Shalamov's texts, I noted those that immediately 'hit me' or those that immediately brought to mind a clear picture of how it could be on stage. The order of the stories had to be changed - this was required by the score of the play, the emotional cascade that, as I expected, would provide the necessary impact on the viewer.
